I was approached to work on a digital toolkit to promote the first International Tile Day, a new annual event on June 15th which seeks to celebrate tiles from around the world. The client asked for a brand identity and digital assets to be made that could be used on social media by tile enthusiasts to engage with the day. I looked at some other national and international days for inspiration, but eventually settled on a design which included elements of the simple, symmetrical design of many tiles. These could then be replicated and shown in different colour palettes to reflect the diversity of tiles across the world.
